Hubungan Kepribadian Dengan Tingkat Kecemasan Pada Mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Sumatera Utara Angkatan 2020 Dan 2021

Abstract

Kecemasan merupakan antisipasi terhadap ancaman masa depan. Mahasiswa, khususnya pada Fakultas Kedokteran rentan mengalami kecemasan dikarenakan keseluruhan sekolah kedokteran sering dianggap sangat menegangkan yang memproyeksikan efek negatif tidak hanya pada kinerja akademik mahasiswa kedokteran tetapi juga memperburuk kesehatan fisik dan kesejahteraan psikososial. Kecemasan yang dialami seseorang tidak terlepas dari kepribadiannya. Five Factor Model (FFM), atau dikenal juga sebagai model “Big Fiveâ€, adalah model ciri kepribadian normal yang paling banyak digunakan, yang terdiri dari neuroticism, extraversion, openness, agreeableness, dan conscientiousness. Kepribadian, khususnya kombinasi neuroticism tinggi dan extraversion rendah, mungkin memainkan peran etiologis predisposisi penting dalam kecemasan. Tujuan. Untuk mengetahui hubungan kepribadian dengan tingkat kecemasan pada responden. Metode. Penelitian bersifat analitik dengan desain cross sectional. Sampel penelitian dipilih dengan teknik stratified random sampling dari seluruh data kuesioner yang memenuhi kriteria. Hasil. Dari uji Spearman rho didapati hubungan signifikan (p<0,05) antara tingkat kecemasan dengan neuroticism (r=0,666), extraversion (r=-0,242), dan agreeableness (r=-0,227). Sedangkan, hubungan tingkat kecemasan dengan openness (r=-0,010) dan conscientiousness (r=-0,012) tidak signifikan (p>0,05). Ada hubungan antara tingkat kecemasan dengan neuroticism, extraversion, dan agreeableness pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Sumatera Utara Angkatan 2020 dan 2021.
