Abstract

Unknown factors often contribute to project development delays, which can result in delayed upgrades and unforeseen costs. Depending on the type of project and the surrounding environment, each construction project carries a different set of risks. Therefore, different handling techniques are needed. To improve traffic safety and efficiency in using the Fly Over, the obstacles and challenges in the construction of the Fly Over include the issues of Covid-19, nature, economy, environment, human resources, management, finance, and project risks. The purpose of this research is to: Analyze the risks that may occur during the construction of the Fly Over and determine the appropriate handling method in the construction of the Fly Over. Based on the findings, there are 20 risks for contractors and 19 risks for consultants which are in the high category and are significant factors in project delays including the following risks: pandemic, natural, economic, environmental, HR and management, finance, engineering, and projects. To reduce delays and unexpected expenses, this study concludes that risk management should be applied during the implementation of the Fly Overextension project.
