Potensi Bioaktif Lobak Putih (Raphanus sativus var. albus) dalam Modulasi Sintesis Kolagen dan Ekspresi MMP-1: Implikasi Anti Penuaan Kulit
Abstract
Penuaan kulit merupakan proses biologis kompleks yang dipengaruhi oleh faktor intrinsik dan ekstrinsik, terutama paparan radiasi ultraviolet (UV) yang memicu terjadinya photoaging. Paparan UV meningkatkan pembentukan reactive oxygen species (ROS) yang mengaktivasi jalur pensinyalan seluler dan meningkatkan ekspresi matrix metalloproteinase-1 (MMP-1), sehingga menyebabkan degradasi kolagen dermal. Penurunan sintesis kolagen dan peningkatan degradasinya berkontribusi terhadap munculnya keriput serta penurunan elastisitas kulit. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji potensi bioaktif lobak putih (Raphanus sativus var. albus) dalam memodulasi sintesis kolagen dan ekspresi MMP-1 sebagai strategi anti-penuaan kulit berbasis bahan alam. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kajian literatur terhadap berbagai publikasi ilmiah terkait penuaan kulit, stres oksidatif, serta aktivitas bioaktif senyawa fitokimia yang terkandung dalam lobak putih. Hasil pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa lobak putih mengandung senyawa bioaktif seperti sulforaphane, vitamin C, dan flavonoid yang memiliki aktivitas antioksidan dan antiinflamasi. Senyawa-senyawa tersebut dapat mengaktivasi jalur Nrf2, menekan stres oksidatif, menghambat ekspresi MMP-1, serta mendukung sintesis kolagen dermal. Secara keseluruhan, potensi bioaktif lobak putih menunjukkan relevansi biologis dalam modulasi jalur molekuler photoaging dan berpotensi dikembangkan sebagai bahan alami untuk intervensi anti-penuaan kulit. Namun, penelitian lanjutan terutama uji klinis pada manusia masih diperlukan untuk mengonfirmasi efektivitas dan keamanannya.
